ASEAN Business Advisory Council was formed following decision of the ASEAN Leaders at the 7th ASEAN Summit and launched in April 2003, with the mandate to provide private sector feedback and guidance to boost ASEAN's efforts towards economic integration.

ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Luncheon in Chiang Rai
Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid presented to the ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) his Policy Recommendations on the ASEAN’s Financial Markets. He has been pushing for the luncheon dialogue ever since that he was the Chairman of ASEAN-BAC in 2015.

A Fond Farewell to Dato’ Ramesh Kodammal
ABAC Malaysia would like to thank Dato’ Ramesh Kodammal for his more than 10 years of services as Council Member. His contribution in advancing trade opportunities, partnership and connectivity between ASEAN and India was significant and had caused positive impact towards the relations, overall. We wish him the very success in his continued capacity as the Co-Chairman of ASEAN Indian Business Council (AIBC).
ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Welcomes New Council Member Mr. Raja Singham
Effective February 2019, Raja Singham was appointed as the ABAC Malaysia Council Member by the Minister of Ministry International Trade and Industries (MITI), replacing Dato’ Ramesh Kodammal. Along the line, Raja was also appointed as the Lead Mentor of the ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN) in Malaysia.
