ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Meeting with Bank Negara Malaysia, 22 March

ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Chairman Tan Sri Nazir Razak had a meeting with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Assistant Governor Dr Norhana Endut, during which they discussed BNM’s ASEAN work programme and ASEAN-BAC Malaysia’s role in collaborating with BNM to accomplish these objectives.

During the meeting, Tan Sri Nazir introduced ASEAN-BAC Malaysia’s mission to provide private sector feedback for the ASEAN platform and engaging Malaysians in the ASEAN agenda to build a stronger ASEAN identity. He also highlighted the council’s planned projects in preparation for Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.

Other meeting attendees included ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Executive Director Ms Jukhee Hong, as well as BNM’s Director of Sustainability Unit Puan Madelena Mohamed, Director of International Department Puan Ida Harniza, Deputy Director of Payments Policy Department Puan Nor Halimaton Saadiah, and Deputy Director of International Department Puan Salbiah Hamzan.
