Fifth ASEAN Unplugged session for the ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Circle (ABMC)

ASEAN-BAC Malaysia held its fifth ASEAN Unplugged session for the ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Circle (ABMC), featuring Bapak Gita Wirjawan, Former Minister of Trade, Indonesia. Chairman of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Tan Sri Nazir Razak moderated the closed-door session. The meeting was attended by ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Council member Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, and ABMC members.

The discussion centred on Indonesia’s upcoming presidential elections scheduled on 14th February 2024. Bapak Gita shared his observations on the presidential candidates’ ideologies, economic strategies, enforcement of rules and regulations, foreign policies, potential limitations due to affiliations and predictions of the potential political landscape after the elections.
