ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, represented by Executive Director Ms Jukhee Hong was invited to attend Malaysia’s Priority Economic Deliverables (PED) discussion under the Economic Pillar in preparation for the ASEAN Chairmanship of Malaysia 2025. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sugumari S. Shanmugam, Senior Director of ASEAN Economic Integration Division, Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), and was attended by over 10 Malaysian business associations.

Ms. Jukhee stressed the importance of addressing fragmentation of ASEAN in the post-2025 strategic planning. This involves implementing the SSH (simplify, standardise, and harmonise) approach to cross-border business procedures, regulations and practices, aimed at deepening ASEAN economic integration.
