Courtesy Meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, 3 May 2024

ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Chairman Tan Sri Nazir Razak, and Executive Director Ms Jukhee Hong, together with the Chair of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia B2B Connect Initiative (BCI) – Agriculture, had a courtesy meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu to discuss on the collaboration opportunities between the Ministry and ASEAN-BAC Malaysia during its ASEAN Chairmanship next year (2025).

Tan Sri Nazir updated on the Agriculture Sector Visit to Malaysia for the Philippines that was led by ASEAN-BAC Malaysia which was held last week (22 – 24 April 2024), in which the delegates were hosted by the Ministry, KLK Berhad, Aerodyne Group, CIMB, Sime Darby Plantation, and FarmFresh.

Dato’ Sri Mustapa thanked the Ministry for hosting the welcoming dinner for the delegates, and spoke of the possibility to also collaborate with Thailand and Indonesia, to strengthen food security between the ASEAN countries.
