ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting
Following the meeting in Vietnam, ASEAN-BAC Laos Chair Oudet Souvannavong led a dialogue session at the 56th ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Meeting in Vientiane, Laos. The delegation from ASEAN-BAC presented various initiatives undertaken in the areas of trade and investment, digital transformation, and green transition. Executive Director Ms Jukhee Hong who represented the ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Council Members, presented on the ASEAN Business Entity (ABE) and sought support from the AEM as part of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship programmes.
Representing the Malaysian government was YBrs. Puan Mastura Ahmad Mustafa Deputy Secretary General’s Office (International Trade) of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). Puan Mastura ASEAN-BAC legacy projects and initiatives will be brought up to the ASEAN Senior Economic Officials Meeting (SEOM) for further deliberalisation while Malaysia is still finalizing the Priority Economic Deliverables (PEDs) for 2025.
