Indonesia Economic Summit 2025

Chairman Tan Sri Nazir Razak was invited to speak at the Indonesia Economic Summit 2025, themed “Opening a New Era of High Growth and Prosperity”. In the session joined by fellow panel speakers satvinder singh, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community; Tetsuya Watanabe, President of ERIA: Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA); R.M. Marty Natalegawa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia (2009 – 2014); and Bilahari Kausikan, Honorary Fellow of the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore (NUS), focused on strategies for navigating regional challenges, closing economic gaps, and fostering sustainable, inclusive growth across ASEAN.
The session shared insights on the strategic steps Indonesia and Southeast Asia should take to enhance economic integration and connectivity. With Southeast Asia’s vast economic potential and complementary strengths, the region stands at a critical juncture in shaping a more integrated and resilient economy. Indonesia, as the largest economy in ASEAN, plays a pivotal role in driving regional connectivity by prioritising trade facilitation, infrastructure development, and digital transformation.
