AFMGM Interface

A productive and insightful engagement yesterday as ASEAN BAC made its formal submission of 2025 priorities in the annual consultation .. at the 12th ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM).
Under the leadership of Chairman, Tan Sri Nazir Razak, and with the valuable participation of ASEAN BAC representatives from Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand, as well as the ASEAN BAC Malaysia Circle, we presented our key initiatives for the year ahead.
As the meeting focused on supply chain and sustainability, our proposals for 2025 place significant emphasis on the ASEAN Business Entity (ABE), envisioning a more seamless and interconnected business environment within ASEAN. Furthermore, we highlighted the crucial role of the ASEAN Common Carbon Framework (ACCF) in green transitioning. Complementing these efforts, we also presented the work of ASRAC (ASEAN Sustainability Reporting Advocacy Collaborative), emphasizing the importance of standardized and transparent sustainability reporting across the region to drive responsible business practices.
We believe these interconnected initiatives are crucial steps towards a more economically vibrant, environmentally responsible, and socially conscious ASEAN.
