MoU Signing

The day continued with a series of partnership announcements, witnessed by participants of the ASEAN-GCC-China Roundtable and ASEAN-BAC Council Members. The roundtable served as a meaningful backdrop to celebrate and announce these partnerships, held on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit, highlighting a shared commitment to regional collaboration and progress.
Here’s what was announced:
MyEG and SGTraDex signed an MoU establishing a strategic partnership for seamless, cross-border trade data exchange between Malaysia and Singapore. A big step towards paperless, secure trade flows under the Digital Exchange Platform initiative
ASEAN-BAC and Sustainable Finance Institute Asia (SFIA) signed an MoU to launch an Interoperability Sandbox under the SAFE initiative. This supports proportionate, accessible sustainability reporting for ASEAN SMEs and will support the ASEAN Sustainability Reporting Advocacy Collaborative (ASRAC) initiative in 2025.
ASEAN-BAC also formalised a three-year partnership with the Tech For Good Institute (TFGI) as its official knowledge partner. This collaboration will strengthen digital economic integration and governance across ASEAN and APEC.
In partnership with UN Women, ASEAN-BAC Malaysia announced a two-year collaboration to champion gender equality across ASEAN’s business landscape—supporting inclusive policies, leadership advocacy, and regional knowledge exchange. This will support the ASEAN Inclusivity Collective (AIC).
To support the B2B Connect initiative, ASEAN-BAC Philippines presented a Letter of Intent to MDEC, focusing on advancing the Digital Agriculture Technology (AgTech) ecosystem to boost food security and empower agri-entrepreneurs.
Collectively, these partnerships reflect our commitment to strengthening ASEAN’s economic resilience through innovation, inclusion, and regional cooperation.
