Roadshow to Japan Day 2

On day 2, the roadshow continued with a visit to the Malaysian Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, received by pavilion Director Puan Ellyza Mastura. The pavilion’s striking bamboo facade and songket-inspired design beautifully celebrated Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage. With the theme “Weaving a Future of Harmony,” it highlighted how diversity can inspire innovation and sustainability. 

Continuing their journey, the delegation visited the Japan Pavilion, they were warmly received by Mr. Noriyuki Kuroda, Director of the Pavilion, who personally guided them through the exhibit. The visit offered a glimpse into Japan’s forward-looking vision, blending technological innovation with cultural depth. It served as a meaningful opportunity to appreciate Japan’s commitment to shaping a sustainable and inclusive future—values that resonate strongly with ASEAN’s regional aspirations. They also visited the ASEAN Exhibition, where they were welcomed by Director Lee Yoong Yoong. 

Later in the afternoon, the delegation also met with Mr. Tomonori Wada, Chairperson of the Business-in-Asia Committee at Kankeiren, for an engaging discussion on regional business trends and new opportunities to strengthen ASEAN-Japan cooperation.
