Deputy Finance Minister YB Puan Lim Hui Ying, in her keynote, reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to regional financial integration as ASEAN Chair, emphasising the need for stronger public-private collaboration.
ASEAN-BAC Chairman Tan Sri Nazir Razak also stressed ASEAN must deepen and connect its capital markets to unlock domestic savings, attract global capital and drive innovation.”
The day-long programme focused on accelerating capital market development, advancing financial digitalisation, expanding access to finance, securing sustainable energy, and innovating for future resilience. These support several of ASEAN-BAC’s 12 key strategic initiatives for 2025, including the ASEAN Private Capital Markets Initiative, ASEAN IPO Prospectus, and ASEAN Common Carbon Framework (ACCF).
