Fiscal & Economy Workshop (MoF)

Executive Director Jukhee Hong was invited as a speaker at the Economic and Fiscal Workshop organized by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) Malaysia on 24–25 June 2026. The workshop, attended by MOF officers directly involved in drafting the Economic and Fiscal Outlook 2026 for Budget 2026, focused on strategies for Malaysia and ASEAN to navigate global economic uncertainties.
In her session, Jukhee addressed how multilateral cooperation can help the region respond to challenges such as protectionist trade policies, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and the need for resilient, inclusive growth. She shared insights from the business community’s perspective, highlighting the importance of key reforms and public-private partnerships to reduce regulatory fragmentation, strengthen ASEAN supply chain networks, and enable businesses to adapt to evolving trade and investment realities.
Jukhee was joined by fellow penalists Ambassador Haznah Md Hashim, Division Secretary (Bilateral Relations Department) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ravi a/l Chakkara Kunki Raman, Director, ASEAN Economic Integration Division of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI); Martjin Reelink, Senior Financial Sector Specialist of the World Bank Group; and Michelle Chia, Head of Treasury and Market Research, Group Wholesale Banking of CIMB Bank. The session was moderated by Ramona Mohd Razali, Division Secretary of International Affairs of MITI.
