ASEAN regions adopt unified approach to sustainability reporting

The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Malaysia, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), along with their partners in ASEAN Sustainability Reporting Advocacy Collaborative (ASRAC), have announced a unified approach to sustainability reporting standards across Southeast Asia.

Initiated during the ASEAN Conference 2025, held  by the Singapore Business Federation, the ASRAC statement represents a collaborative effort between ACCA, ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, the Sustainable Finance Institute Asia (SFIA), and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Business Advisory Council (APEC-BAC) Malaysia.

This initiative is one of twelve business priorities set forth by ASEAN-BAC Malaysia in line with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.
