ASEAN-BAC Pushes for CSR Working Group to Boost Corporate Giving

Kuala Lumpur: Asean Business Advisory Council (Asean-BAC) has called for establishment of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Working Group to drive regional alignment, improve oversight and catalyse greater private sector contributions across Asean.

The proposal came from its newly launched in CSR in Asean Report, the first regionwide blueprint to strengthen corporate giving and crossborder philanthropy.

It was commissioned by Asean-BAC Malaysia and researched by the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS) as part of Asean Corporate Philanthropy Framework, one of 12 key initiatives under Malaysian’s Asean-BAC Chairmanship this year.
