Australia–ASEAN Business Forum 2025

An energising start to the Australia–ASEAN Business Forum, where ASEAN-BAC Malaysia played a key role in shaping the dialogue on ASEAN–Australia relations.
Highlights:
🔹 Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Chairman of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, delivered a speech on “Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship Agenda”—outlining priorities for deeper economic cooperation, inclusivity, and sustainable growth across the region.
🔹 Jukhee Hong, Executive Director of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, joined as a panellist in Session 1: Strengthening ASEAN–Australia Engagement for a Shared Future alongside:
- H.E. Siswo Pramono, Ambassador of Indonesia to Australia (Chair)
- Ms. Shinta W. Kamdani, CEO of Sintesa Group (Indonesia)
- Mr. Jay L. Lingeswara, Vice President, Commercial, Vietjet Air (Vietnam)
- Mr. Kok Ping Soon, CEO, Singapore Business Federation (Singapore)
Together, the panel explored pathways to unlock shared prosperity and elevate ASEAN–Australia partnership in today’s dynamic global economy.
Another key highlight on the day of the forum was the MOU signing between ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, represented by Jukhee Hong, Chair of the ASEAN Inclusivity Collective (AIC) and ASEAN Business Alliance, represented by Chair, Dr. Sandy Chong. This milestone partnership reinforces ASEAN-BAC Malaysia’s commitment to inclusivity and equitable growth, reaffirming the shared commitment to advancing inclusivity and sustainable business practices across the region. The forum set the stage for productive conversations, collaboration, and commitments to a stronger ASEAN–Australia partnership.
