Roadshow to New Zealand Day 2

Led by our Chairman, Tan Sri Nazir Razak, the ASEAN-BAC delegation spent the day in Auckland engaging in meaningful discussions and exchanges on Agribusiness and Food Security — a shared priority for both ASEAN and New Zealand.

The day began with a roundtable on food security and agribusiness chaired by Grahame Morton, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Discussions centred on the ASEAN–NZ business climate, opportunities for collaboration across the food value chain, and two-way investment prospects in agriculture and food industries. This was then followed by a site visit to Plant & Food Research, where delegates explored New Zealand’s cutting-edge research and innovation in sustainable agriculture. Day 2 reinforced the importance of partnership, cultural exchange, and innovation in strengthening ASEAN–New Zealand linkages and building a more inclusive future.
