SAREF 4.0 (THE SUSTAINABILITY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY FORUM)
An inspiring day at the Sustainability and Renewable Energy Forum (SAREF) 4.0 in Kuching, where ASEAN-BAC Malaysia was proud to contribute to steering conversations forward on inclusive leadership in the energy transition.
Highlights:
🔹 Jukhee Hong, Executive Director of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, joined the SAREF 4.0 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Lunch Talk Panel, titled “Redefining Excellence: How Inclusive Leadership is Reshaping Meritocracy in the Energy Transition”, held on 4 September 2025 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Sarawak.
🔹 The panel brought together voices from across the energy and sustainability ecosystem to explore how inclusive leadership can accelerate a just, equitable, and people-centred transition towards net zero. The panel agreed that DEI and meritocracy are complementary and should go hand in hand.
🔹 The forum, themed “Partnership for Our Goals – Sustainable Growth & Prosperity for the Region”, convened leaders from government, business, and international organisations, including the Premier of Sarawak, global sustainability advocates, and industry pioneers.
SAREF 4.0 once again emphasised the need for collaboration and diversity in driving sustainable growth and ensuring that no one is left behind in the energy transition.
