ASEAN BUSINESS AWARDS 2025 HONOUR REGIONAL CHAMPIONS IN KUALA LUMPUR

Prestigious regional awards spotlight Southeast Asia’s top enterprises and innovators

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 October 2025 — As ASEAN Chair this year, ASEAN-BAC Malaysia hosted the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Adding prestige to the ABIS 2025, the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2025 honoured outstanding enterprises and individuals across Southeast Asia last night at a glittering gala at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

Established in 2007 by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), the ABA recognises enterprises and individuals who drive innovation, collaboration and inclusive growth in advancing ASEAN’s economic integration and shared prosperity. Over 18 years, more than 400 champions have been recognised for their contributions to the region’s progress.

This year, under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, the ABA featured a refreshed format to reflect both traditional economic pillars and emerging sectors. Categories spanned Tourism, Logistics, Digital Advancement, Financial Services, Sustainability, Manufacturing, FMCG and Startups, along with two individual recognitions for Key Opinion Leaders and Friends of ASEAN. The judging panel comprised ten distinguished individuals representing each ASEAN Member State, bringing together a wealth of expertise from across business, academia and public policy.

“The ASEAN Business Awards continue to celebrate enterprises and individuals who embody ASEAN’s spirit of innovation and collaboration. This year’s refined approach underscores our commitment to recognising not just business excellence, but also the cultural and social contributions that strengthen ASEAN’s regional integration and global profile,” said Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Chairman of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia.

The ABA 2025 Gala, held in conjunction with ABIS 2025, also marked a high point of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship. The evening featured entertaining performances by Grammy Award–winning R&B group All-4-One, Thailand’s “Princess of R&B” Lydia Sarunrat Deane, Malaysia’s genre-defying artist MIMIFLY, and Indonesian pop icon Raisa Andriana. Together, they embodied ASEAN’s spirit of unity, diversity, and artistic excellence, bridging cultures through music and celebrating the region’s creative energy on a global stage.

ASEAN-BAC Council Member Tan Sri Tony Fernandes who helped steer this ABA initiative said, “The ABA celebrates the bold and the brave, those who think differently, take risks, and lift ASEAN onto the global stage. These winners represent the energy and ingenuity that make ASEAN such an exciting place to do business.”
