ASEAN- UK Carbon Markets Executive dialogue

ASEAN-BAC Malaysia joined key industry leaders from the global carbon markets ecosystem at the ASEAN-UK Carbon Markets Roundtable 2025 held at Millbank House hosted by the ASEAN Alliance on Carbon Markets (AACM). The discussion centered on the path toward high-integrity carbon markets, where through effective collaborations with partners beyond ASEAN such as with the UK, ASEAN has the potential to generate up to $3 trillion in investments and create 13.7 million green jobs by 2050.

Chairman Tan Sri Nazir Razak further presented on the key priorities for Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN-BAC Chairmanship, and shared on the potential of ASEAN to align with international standards, attract green capital, and develop a unified carbon market framework. Executive Director Jukhee Hong further updated on the progress of the ASEAN Common Carbon Framework (ACCF) with participants of the roundtable.
