MITI – ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Investment (CCI)

Executive Director Jukhee Hong was invited to present one of the key ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Chairmanship 2025 initiatives—the ASEAN Business Entity (ABE)—at the MITI-ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Investment (CCI) meeting in Penang. Her presentation takes a deeper dive of the ABE framework and how ABE can help make ASEAN business scale in the region, enabling companies to operate more seamlessly across the region.

It is proposed that each ASEAN Member states define the criteria of ABEs, and determine the areas of operational flexibilities such as in the movement of employees, backend outsourcing, favourable shareholding structures, fiscal incentives according to national priorities.
