Courtesy Meeting with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia

ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Executive Director, Ms. Jukhee Hong was delighted to hold a courtesy meeting with Ms. Li Sa, Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia to strengthen collaboration and understanding between the ASEAN business community and Chinese enterprises. The engagement with the Embassy of the PRC paves the way to foster closer ties in anticipation of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.

Data from the General Administration of Customs of China shows that ASEAN remains China’s largest trading partner up until November of 2023, with trade volume between both sides reaching approximately US$817.
