ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Carbon Market closed-door roundtable
In support of the ASEAN Strategy for Carbon Neutrality, ASEAN-BAC Malaysia is pleased to explore pathways at the national and regional level to address both the supply and demand of high quality carbon credits in the region. An aligned or harmonised regulatory carbon framework could enhance cooperation and economic integration among the ASEAN countries, fostering a collective approach to addressing climate change.
Mr. Lim Chern Yuan, Council Member of ASEAN-BAC Malaysia, who is also the Group CEO of Yinson Holdings Berhad chaired an ASEAN-BAC Malaysia closed-door roundtable session in conjuction with the Malaysia Carbon Market Forum 2024 orgnised by Bursa Carbon Exchage (BCX). The meeting was led by Dr Renard Siew, Head of Corporate Sustainability of Yinson, together with Executive Director Jukhee Hong who represented ASEAN-BAC Malaysia and Dr. Wei-nee Chen, Executive VP and Head of Carbon Market, Group Sustainability of Bursa Malaysia, presented on the proposed ASEAN Common Carbon Framework (ACCF).
