Dato’ Sri Lee Choong Yan is currently the President and Executive Director of Genting Malaysia Berhad, one of the leading leisure and hospitality corporations in the world. He is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate strategies as well as management of the operations of the Company and its subsidiaries.

Dato’ Sri Lee is also the Chief Executive Officer of Genting UK Plc, a subsidiary in the United Kingdom, where the Group owns and operates over thirty casinos together with an integrated resort, Resorts World Birmingham. In addition, he oversees Genting Malaysia Group’s businesses in the United States and Bahamas. His responsibilities also include directorships in other companies within the Genting Malaysia Berhad Group, including GENM Capital Berhad which is a public company.

Dato’ Sri Lee trained as a chartered accountant in London with an international accounting firm of chartered accountants following which he joined their offices in Hong Kong and worked in their audit and corporate advisory practices. He subsequently embarked on a career in investment banking where he specialised in the areas of corporate finance and the equity capital markets before joining the Genting Group in 1997.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton, England and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
