{"id":7204,"date":"2023-09-02T15:12:13","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T15:12:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aseanbac.com.my\/staging\/?p=7204"},"modified":"2024-04-18T06:11:26","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T06:11:26","slug":"asean-climate-forum-accelerating-2-sept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aseanbac.com.my\/staging\/2023\/09\/02\/asean-climate-forum-accelerating-2-sept\/","title":{"rendered":"ASEAN Climate Forum: Accelerating , 2 Sept"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][tm_spacer size=&#8221;xs:15;lg:20&#8243;][vc_column_text]SEAN-BAC Malaysia Executive Director Ms Jukhee Hong, who also chairs the ASEAN\u0002BAC Green and Sustainable Economy Working Group (GSE WG), was a speaker on the &#8216;Accelerating the Net Zero Transition in ASEAN&#8217; panel at the ASEAN Climate Forum.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ms Hong, awareness and perception are the most significant predictors of climate actions compared to other factors such as market pressures and government policy and regulation \u2014 as such, adopting climate actions requires 4Cs &#8211; Conviction, Capacity, Compliance and Compassion.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Hong advocated for government policies to focus on building conviction in society and among businesses, as well as technological and financial capacity and capability building.
